On the occasion of his appearance at the Contours festival in Clichy this Saturday 24th September, focus on the Chevry phenomenon: Vitess.
For a few years now, the Chevry Agency roster has been feeding the Parisian scene with many talents who are reshuffling the cards of French house and techno. It is among the members of this new wave that we find Vitess. Producer, DJ and performer, the Parisian Victor Tescaro has made a name for himself with notable releases on labels such as Houseum, Dansu Discs, Pont Neuf, Unknown To The Unknown, Normandy Records, Up The Stuss, Hoarder… A drummer by training, his music is built around groove: acid lines, clean breaks, imposing synths and effective bass. Working under several aliases, Vitess distils his different influences in side-projects such as Vytamin, Grand V or Flamant Rouge, but follows a common thread oscillating between deep tech and power house. The best example to date is his first full-length Cyber Zone, which he signed this summer on his label Retro Futura Records.
On stage, Vitess excels in the live exercise. With fierce sequences and incendiary remixes, the Parisian has already conquered the most iconic dancefloors in France, as well as those in South America and the United States, where he has just returned from touring, and the prestigious London club fabric.
For those who have not yet had the chance to attend one of his performances, or who would like to try again, Vitess will be playing in the open air at the Contours festival in Clichy on Saturday 24 September, where he will be sharing the bill with Jeff Mills, Moodymann, KiNK, Bjarki, Dan Shake, Demuja, and many others…
