If the name Baccus still doesn’t ring a bell, it’s only a matter of time. A major artist in the Chevry Agency stable and founder of the young Groovytude Records label, the DJ from southwest France has the resources to make it big. Indeed, since 2019 Romain (aka Baccus) has been spoiling us with EPs each as qualitative as the next. Whether it’s “Just Want You”, “This World Is Yours” or “Don’t Mind Me”, the Frenchman is in for a treat. The same sunny, minimal and groovy vibe can be found on each of his appearances. Everything is beautifully produced, without a hitch, and confirms his status as a young reference in the genre. He also collaborated with Oden & Fatzo on the excellent “Can’t Let You Go”. Now we’re hoping for the same career!

While we’ve seen him set the mood at various parties, from Mazette to Sacré and Kilomètre25, Baccus is also a live performer with an infectious energy. In fact, it’s on his most recent events that we’ve been able to enjoy the tracks from his latest EP, released on PIV (the benchmark label for Minimal House). “Got To Do” and “I’m On It” once again represent his universe perfectly. The powerful kick and rounded bass allow the synths to take on a certain breadth. Melodic and catchy at the same time, Baccus’ style brings a little pep to a genre that’s becoming increasingly popular in France.
